The girls of the Girls' Home Unit at the Boys Town Foundation Complex located at Parang, Marikina were treated with fun, food and gifts when Kris Bernal celebrated her 24th birthday there.
As Kris' way of giving back to the needy the blessings that she has been receiving, she opted to celebrate her birthday with a good cause. With the help of some of her sponsors like Zanea, Sundance, Tony & Jackey, Poshnails, Fernando's Bakeshop, My Dentist and Vans.
Kris Bernal and her ACLC family was also generous enough to give two full scholarships for two chosen girls at the institution.
“Every
year nag-cecelebrate ako ng birthday either with family or friends,
last year my GMA Artist Center family gave me a wonderful party with
friends and workmates at 7th High, now they have organized something
closer to my heart”, Kris said.
After Coffee Prince, her primetime romantic comedy show with constant
onscreen partner Aljur Abrenica, Kris took a trip with her family at
Europe. She grabbed the time that she will be having a break after years
of hard work.
An upcoming show was already lined up for Kris this year.

It has been Kris’ tradition to give back to the needy everytime she celebrates her birthday and even in times when she’s not busy from work.

The young actress with her mom together with her fans (KRISpers, ALKRISians, ALAB), supporters and the help of her GMA Artist Center family were all present to give joy and hope to the young children of the institution.
After spending her happiest birthday yet with model-actor Carl Guevarra in a three-day getaway to Singapore GMA-7 young actress Kris Bernal decided to continue her birthday celebration by means of a charity event. The trip was a surprise gift given by Car Guevarra to Kris who said she was deeply moved by the very generous present whom she only learned a few days before the trip itself: “Nagulat ako. Naiyak pa nga ako, e. Kasi alam mo… ever since kasi, dream ko na parang makasama ko sa ibang lugar yung special na tao sa akin. Pero laging hindi natutuloy. Ngayon lang.”

I am impressed by those fortunate people who helps the needy. Even when they're at the peak of their success, they still manage to help those people who are less fortunate. I can say that Kris Bernal has a good heart and has a thoughtful lady to choose to celebrate her own birthday to give food and gifts to those girls at the Girls' Home Unit instead of having an "en grande" birthday party or treats. ReplyDeleteIn celebrating our birthdays it's not all about having many gifts, many foods prepared and etc. For me, in celebrating birthdays it is important what you feel on that day. What you want to do on that day. As I read this article I'm overwhelmed by Kris Bernal's kindness. As we all know, many actor/actresses celebrates their birthdays in a party way, inviting friends and drinking up all night. But the question is, are you satisfied on what you've done on your day? I salute this girl for her kindness because she chooses to celebrate her day together with unfortunate people. She made her day useful and happy by simply helping in a charity. In return to her success she did not forget other people's condition. Thanks to her sponsors because they didn't hesitate to lend a hand; they feel these kids deserve care just like the rest of us who still have our families. From food, cakes, drinks, clothes, personal care items, they chipped in on this charity event. I adore her for generosity she have and hope this isn't the last.
