Just a short note for now but plenty of pictures to feast your eyes upon, and plenty more Thank You's !
Congrats to Komikon for what can be considered as a succesful and jampacked fun event. Everyone felt the great convention fatigue as they relax on a Sunday with their comics loot. We will enjoy reading our comics (some of which were signed) haul!...and play or flaunt with our souvenirs toys, shirts, and other memorabilias!
In this blog is also a roaming video that hopefully captured the people, comic book products and events at Summer Komikon 2013.
THANK YOU SUMMER KOMIKON 2013!!!
Komikon (with komik as the Tagalized form for comic, and convention) is an annual comic book fan convention in the Philippines founded by Artist's Den
to be the first convention solely dedicated for comic book enthusiasts.
The first convention was held at the U.P. Bahay ng Alumni, UP Diliman, Quezon City, on October 22, 2005. Since then, Filipino fans have gathered annually to meet with the country's local talents and exchange common interest in the comic book genre.
Since 2005, Komikon provides avenue for independent publishers to
showcase their books in the market, and opportunities for aspiring
artists through its various art contests and portfolio reviews conducted
by David Campiti of Glasshouse Graphics. - source: Komikon
Yay! That was me [the skinhead on Kuatrokanto's table with John Nano]. I'm still giddy as a schoolgirl about the whole experience. Thank you everybody who was there at the Komikon. It's really something I'll want to do over and over again. Would be nice if I could mingle and roam around more but we sold comics that day. Yay!
