IHOP Restaurant Breakfast Treats : BGCs Pancake Pleasure Place

My kids call me the master chef of pancakes. Basically because I can cook them a lot better than my wife, or anybody else they know (like their Uncle) who tried cooking it for them. I've been cooking pancakes since my high school days that I believe I've mastered the right amount of water, butter - and heat of the cooking stove, (even knowing when is the right time to flip over the pancakes so that the other side will cook evenly) allowing me to create the perfect pancakes. I am such a lover of pancakes - both in cooking and eating them!

My friends and I had some early breakfast treats at Ihop Restaurant Bonifacio Global City (BGC) one morning before a certain task for that day. It was an opportunity to try out their meals.

I had some Hearty Ham and Cheese Omelette and "Strawberrified" Pancakes plus a Splashberry drink while my friend had the Bacon Temptation Omelette, original pancakes, and fresh Mango juice drink.

Another friend just had some fresh Mango juice drink - obviously on a diet to keep slim and sexy!

So what is the Splashberry? A refreshing soda drink with real strawberries!

That's me eating a "Strawberrified" pancake! Almost done with it because we were in a hurry to do a task.

There are lots of choices for omelettes, plus other meals. But since its breakfast and Ihop has been known popular from its pancakes, we ordered the omelette and pancake packaged meals.

Three choices for syrup for your pancakes : Original, Peanut Butter, and Strawberry.

The menu has pancakes on its front cover indicative of its specialty.

The dining areas, including the seats and tables, even the decorative lamps and photo frames, are of earth color hues.

There were actually two floors for this branch. The upper level is obviously bigger in space.

The Ihop restaurant started out with a long queue everyday, but the mornings are now usually half-filled.

The fresh mango juice, or was it orange juice?, was served in a not so fancy glass - no decorative glass or mugs here.

Have you ever wondered why the last thing that we order (our drinks), are usually always served first?

For obvious reasons...they are the easiest to prepare, but I find it illogical since you are supposed to drink after eating, or at least the first bite comes first before you take a drink.

  

My Splashberry drink had strawberries at the bottom. Splash is for soda and berry is because of the strawberries.

The Bacon Temptation Omelette was a bit more attractive in appearance than the Hearty Ham and Cheese Omelette because of the bacon bits on top which made it look prettier in the photos.

The grated cheese all over my omelette made the Ham and Cheese Omellete more appetizing. For those who have been to Ihop, would you agree that if not for the cheese, the meal would have been just a regular omelette?

Two pieces of pancakes for every order packaged with the omelette. Mine was upgraded from the original when I chose to have the one with Strawberries.

Did the strawberries on top really upgraded the pancake into something better?....or did it just made the pancake a bit soggy in the middle?

You can see that the strawberries and whipped cream made my pancakes more appealing. Too bad the strawberries are not the fresh ones but the strawberries may have comes from the bottled sources.

It will be better to have the strawberries fresh, but I do understand it will be harder to keep fresh strawberries available all the time.

It's the same as in the original pancakes but this one has a few strawberries and some icing on top. Did the icing made the pancake sweeter?...or was it the powdered sugar on top?

The omelettes were thick enough and filling but the chef needs to make it a bit more flavorful. I don't know if the ketchup will make it taste differently, but I prefer my omelettes on its own.

Would it have tasted better if I added some ketchup and hot sauce on it?

IHOP is the iconic brand famous for serving all-day breakfast, lunch, and dinner items has been open in the Philippines for several years already. It is now ready to spread happiness all over the country!

It seems Ihop is also now a favorite of some cyclist after their early morning bicycle workout.

Do cyclist and pancakes match?

Please do give the Ihop Restaurant a try and find out if it can tickle your fancy....I think they would have to use more than just a feather on me.
