Wazzup Pilipinas!
Marco Ho is Bogart the Explorer, the famous YouTube character that parodies the late wildlife expert Steve Irwin and his distinctive Australian accent, or was it Discovery Channel’s Bear Grylls of Man vs. Wild. Well, you be the judge if its either of the two or if he is uniquely his own identity.
You would see him in YouTube making fun out of everything Filipino - its culture and the people themselves. He is widely known for his humorous videos like the Philippine Snatcher, the Philippine Barker, and other similar video episodes that will surely keep you laughing out loud.
This guy, from Davao city, is planning to have a superhero movie soon, but he needs all your help to make it possible! You can sponsor or contribute some financial assistance- in short, they need all your money - well, most of it, just so they could start production and filming a movie about "Bagsik", the superhero!
Below is a video invite he made for Wazzup Pilipinas during the Komikon 2013 event held at the Bayanihan Center in Pasig city.
He also has his own version of the viral music sensation Oppa Gangnam Style and that crazy dance craze that swept the nation - Harlem Shake - of which his versions has been getting tremendous number of views since their release.
Truly he is at that celebrity level of fame alongside other Filipino YouTube sensations like my other favorite Mikey Bustos. Both artists somehow promote Philippine culture and tourism, and have been tapped by the Department of Tourism to help in the It's More Fun in the Philippines campaign.
As one write-up mentioned, "Bogart is a pure-blooded Filipino (unlike Mikey Bustos who is a Fil-Am - Canadian to be specific - correct me on this) but you'll be amazed of how capable and skilled he is in English speaking and delivering his punchlines spontaneously. I love his videos because he doesn't fail to surprise his viewers and he is consistent to his humors."
His soon to be filmed, hopefully, movie with no title yet in mind, is about a Filipino superhero named "Bagsik". It would probably be another laughter-filled parody of famous superheroes like the other guy here who we all know as the friendly-neighborhood Spiderman.
Spidey, as we all know, is another comic book and animated superhero who has also been in several TV series and movies. Spidey is also know to be hilarious and comical in his episodes both in print and in movies.
Would "Bagsik" portray or spoof Spidey's likeness, or would he be teaming up with him or his likeness? That we will soon find out if we help Bogart finance his upcoming movie project.
More of Bogart, the Explorer for Davao City, videos from the Youtube Channel – Front Act Hecklines.
