National Live Events Coalition PH participates in Global Red Campaign

Wazzup Pilipinas!

The National Live Events Coalition PH (NLECPH), an alliance of various sectors from the Live Events community comprising Theater and the Performing Arts, Freelance Creative and Production Workers, Social and Weddings events, Gigs and Music Festivals, AVL (audio video lights) coverage and staging / fabrication suppliers, Agencies and Activations, Concerts, Conventions, Tradeshows and Venues will take part in an awareness campaign about the plight of the Live Events Industry.

Aptly titled: GLOBAL RED, this worldwide campaign in raising awareness of the plight of LiveEvents industry impacted by CoVid-19 on a global scale will be held on September 1, 2020.

The peaceful campaign in lighting arts and music venues in red started in Germany on June 22, 2020 called Night of Light. It quickly spread throughout the UK and Ireland thru a campaign called Light It Red and Red Alert with #WeMakeEvents. South Africa followed suit with #LightSARed. On September 1, 2020 the North American leg
will commence headed by Live Events Coalition USA.

NLEC PH’s campaign representing the Live Events industry in the Philippines and South East Asia will co-occur on that date to harmonize the cause worldwide.

The façade of the Cultural Center of the Philippines’ Main Building, Philippine International Convention Center, Fort Santiago, De La Salle Universities and several establishments & landmarks all over the Philippines will be illuminated in red color.

Our local campaign participation will kick off with a ceremonial lighting of the CCP Main Building façade followed by a convoy
motorcade of technical service providers, commencing from the CCP route via Roxas Boulevard ending in TM Kalaw, Manila.

In order to raise awareness in the Philippines, the NLEC-PH is encouraging technical providers and rental companies to join in the campaign “Light up in Red” on the same date and time in support for all live event stakeholders.

The CCP fully supports these initiatives; and, as convenor of the Association of Philippine Performing Arts Spaces (APPAS), enjoins all its member-art spaces to participate in solidarity with NLEC-PH and the live events industry.

The Live Events industry is a wide network of collaborators - planners, organizers, suppliers, talents, and freelancers. The industry was the first to be impacted by the CoVid-19 crisis and is projected to be the last to restart around the world.

NLEC-PH is the first multi sectoral alliance in Asia formed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and its critical impact on the live events industry.

NLEC continues to amplify the voices, to empower, and to be advocates for every event practitioner.

While the NLEC-PH has made strides in coordinating with the government (with DOT, DTI, DOH and the Congress) in seeking support for the industry, thousands are
still unemployed and companies are still struggling. Millions of our counterparts across the globe in the live events industry are currently seeking aid, unemployment benefits and assistance from their respective governments.

Live Events is a global industry.

NLEC PH is in solidarity with the following organizations and movements currently raising an awareness campaign about the plight of the Live Events Industry:
#WeMakeEvents (United Kingdom)
Portuguese Association of Technical Services for Events (APSTE)
Live Events Coalition (USA)
Luz Ao Invisiveis (Brazil)
LightSARed (South Africa)
Freelancers Make Theatre Work (United Kingdom)
IATSE (USA and Canada)
#LetTheMusicPlay (United Kingdom)
#SoundOfSilence (Netherlands)

New Philhealth Chief is Suspected Davao Death Squad Member Dante's Gieran

Wazzup Pilipinas!

With regards to former NBI Director Dante Gieran being appointed as new Philhealth head

Just look at that photo and his fist bump....He is obviously a DDS.

Duterte's strategy is to appoint trusted allies, especially the ones from Davao, regardless of the lack of qualifications, in order to have loyal friends to protect him from any future uprising. Observe that majority of his cabinet members are from the military, or the ones who supported him throughout the past years or during his campaign for President, and the ones he could easily control. Survival instinct is priority regardless if the appointed ones are not fit for the job. So what do you expect of performance if most are not qualified and were brought out of retirement?

Naturally he'll pick his friends, who will be his ally. It doesn't matter to him if they"re old and nearing senility, still need to be trained or tutored of how to do their job, what matters most is his primary objective - keep every agency of the government under his control.

Gieran was pointed as a member of the Davao Death Squad (DDS) as accused by Edgar Matobato, a self-confessed member of the DDS, who once testified that Gieran led the capture and killing of a man who was fed to a crocodile.

Even when he was still mayor of Davao City, President Rodrigo Duterte was at the receiving end of allegations pertaining to violations of human rights.

He has long been linked to the infamous Davao Death Squad (DDS), a vigilante group alleged to be behind the extrajudicial killings in Davao City.

Matobato claimed that Duterte and his son, Davao Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte, were behind some of the killings.

If the accusations is true, there could be other crimes committed by Gieran.

Ber Months: Jose Mari Chan Rewrites Song to be Apt with the Quarantined Times

Wazzup Pilipinas!

"Whenever I see girls and boys selling lanterns on the street I remember the child in the manger as he sleeps"

Ilonggo songwriter Jose Mari Chan has also “rewritten” his classic hit “Can We Just Stop and Talk Awhile” to lighten the mood amid the COVID-19 pandemic. He changed the lyrics to be appropriate for the new normal, adding words such as Internet, surfing and chat, FaceTime, and quarantine.

Chan is also known for his Christmas classic “Christmas in Our Hearts” which has been the subject of various social media memes.

BTW, this year marks the 30th year of Christmas in our Hearts and tomorrow is the start of the Christmas season here in the Philippines! I can't wait to hear Jose Mari Chan's voice again. I can almost hear his voice come September 1.

The 3 most famous characters during Christmas season:

1. Jesus Christ
2. Santa Claus
3. Jose Mari Chan

Hope we will have better days in the Ber months inspite of the Corona virus (Covid-19) still lingering in the air.

Pero bakit nung nakita ni Jose Mari Chan yung girls and boys selling lanterns on the street, ang naisip niya si baby Jesus,  at hindi yung unjust society that made kids have to work to survive? Lol!

Because probably baby Jesus is also a casualty of an unjust society. Being born on a stable manger due to poor parents.

According to the Bible stories, Joseph, a descendant of David, was born in Bethlehem. And in that time, a decree from Rome stated that there will be a census, so technically, Joseph and Mary were required to go to Bethlehem for them to be listed as part of the population.

The prophet Isaiah already prophesized that Jesus will be born in a manger? As per scripture, it is all in God's plan. Jesus was sent to earth not to fight the sin who is the real oppressor.

But most probably, it was also because of atrocities not highlighted by the church, like the Roman Imperial government requiring them to pay absurd taxes in Bethlehem. Why else would they travel at the height of Mary's pregnancy if it wasn't life and death. The child Jesus had to be born in a manger because there was no more room in any inn in Bethlehem during peak season because Joseph and Mary had to pay taxes to a foreign imperial government and mandatorily travel miles from the comfort of their home at the height of Mary's pregnancy.

Rumor has it that Jose Mari Chan romanticized child labor in that particular song. He is said to be a capitalist, and a union buster, a labor rights violator thus we should cancel him and find other Christmas songs instead because we shouldn't tolerate any capitalist.... and yes this is also political.

He and his family are in business and have been implicated in union busting since 2004.

Ahhh yes. The song is romanticizing poverty as if being poor is a gift from God kasi pag mahirap ka sa lupa, yayaman ka raw sa langit.

Baby Jesus was LITERALLY born in a manger, sabsaban. Not even in an inn. Is He not representative of an unjust society in His times? Ipapanganak ka pa lang may injustice na sayo, sa nanay mo?

Actually, you cannot separate Jesus and i justice. If you're a Christian and you understood and lived the life of Jesus - from his birth to his death, and even His disciples' ministry, you cannot separate the concept of social justice.

Injustice nga yun. Kakapanganak pa lang naka experience na ng injustice si Jesus. The greatest and last was His crucifixion.

Pero bakit pati kanta ginagawan ng issue? Ang tagal tagal na nito? I sold lanterns on the street when I was a kid but not because I had to... so, dapat di tayo nag-aassume agad. Hindi na lang din ako magka-caroling kahit kelan, kahit anong taon! Nakaka-stress na pala kahit ang Christmas songs ngayon. Just enjoy the memes. Lol!

The Filipino excitement for Jose Mari Chan in heralding the Ber Months can be a testimony of our overflowing love for Christmas, on which as his song goes, "This season may we never forget, the love we have for Jesus."

December 25 belongs to Jesus Christ.

But the days leading to that -- starting from September 1 up until the last minute of December 24 -- all these still belong to Jose Mari Chan.

#SingingForThePresident trending because of government's atrocities

Wazzup Pilipinas!

"The President who stood for the people now needs 'us' (the people) to also stand for him during uncertain times. Let us show him our love, the love of the majority of the Filipinos who sing his praises for the good he has done for our country."

A group of DDS holds a virtual concert titled #SingingForThePresident as its tribute to what they call President Rodrigo Duterte’s "tireless effort" amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

#SingingForThePresident is trending but not because artists like Freddie Aguilar will be singing for Duterte as a tribute to his "tireless efforts" in fighting COVID19.

BIGGEST. EYEROLL. EVER.

They misquoted.... He’s “tired and effortless!!!”

#SingingForThePresident is trending because of images of and links to all this government's atrocities most especially about the victims of Duterte’s extrajudicial killings disguised as a drug war.

Kian, Raymart & Carl were not the only minors killed in the 1st yr of his war on drugs, at least 54 others died.

Althea Barbon. Her dream was to become a cop. When the police bullets hit her delicate body and killed her and her father, she was only four years old.

Kian delos Santos. He was a high school student. Duterte’s police said they shot him in self-defense. But video shows they dragged him into a dark alley and executed him. He died in fear kneeling and covering his head.

Aldrin Castillo. He was killed despite stopping his drug use years before, according to his mother, Nanette Castillo. Aling Nanette has been actively speaking up on extrajudicial killings until now. She lamented how the poor is easily killed.

Erica Fernandez. Her friends called her Angel. She was a school student who was shot to death by Duterte thugs. She was wearing a Hello Kitty watch and held a Barbie doll at the time of her murder.

Zara Alvarez. She was a teacher who loved seafood and worked tirelessly to help the poor. Duterte’s thugs shot her to death on the street for her Human Rights advocacy.

Randy Echanis. He was tortured and killed inside his rented house along with a still unidentified neighbor, in Novaliches.

“In Davao, I used to do it personally...” - Duterte

Don’t forget about the Gemver fishermen left for dead by the Chinese. The jobless jeepney drivers. The exhausted healthworkers. And a lot more.....plus the blatant misogynistic words and women objectification coming out from the mouth of the highest ranking Philippine official.

Remember it's West Philippines Sea not South China Sea. Then all of a sudden Manila is a province of China. Duterte respects China but disrespects the Philippines and the Filipino people.

The President looks so tired. So tired that he can do these to his own countrymen.

When I first saw the hashtag I thought Pres. Duterte is dead, at may pa-tribute ang mga DDS. Kaso, wala man lang bang pa, kape at biscuits?

Are they planning to be comedians? Pina-trending lang ng trolls yan.

Seriously, are Freddie and those DDS living on the same planet and talking about the same Duterte?

Well, it's true that Duterte has shown "tireless" efforts, as in walang gulong. Kaya hindi na tayo umusad sa fight against Covid-19.

Duterte had done nothing except ask for more budget, more loans and sign for them without even laying grounds for a good outbreak management plan.

So whats the point of this #SingingForThePresident?? Desperate last minute efforts to rebuild the image of the inutile president?

Don't ever forget about the many "collateral damage" who died because of "nanlaban" or just plain trigger happy policemen.

Not only were those who were suspected into drug trade and use who died in the war on drugs of Duterte and who were deprived of the due process of law, the equal protection before the law and the chance for redemption, it also did not spare children.

One must be held accountable for the death of the innocent children during this fake drug war, and that is none other than the president himself!

#SingingForThePresident is filled with cult members who chose to kiss the ass of the most incompetent “leader” who is “working” from home instead of raising funds to aid the debts of the country or to help those who are suffering because they got hit hard by this crisis.

Karamihan diyan mga nakikinabang ngayon, napasweldo dahil sa appointed position or nabigyan ng business deals.

There is no more dangerous threat to civilization than a government of incompetent, vile and corrupt men.

Tonight pro-authoritarian DDS are #SingingForPresidentDuterte. But I wonder #Duterte, ‘Do You Hear the People Sing?’ Because they’re the ones you should be listening to.

"If [drug suspects] pull out a gun, kill them. If they don't, kill them still, son of a whore, so it's over, lest you lose the gun. I'll take care of you." - Duterte

Jeff Bezos is now worth $200 billion

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Jeff Bezos is now worth $200 billion while millions of Americans can’t afford to put food on the table or pay their rent.

No single person should hold this amount of wealth during a time of widespread suffering.

We must tax the rich and #MakeBillionairesPay.

How is being a billionaire morally wrong? The most important innovations wouldn't be possible if not for the huge accumulations of wealth. We're literally using a platform that's created by a billionaire. Should there be a standard limit on "hoarding" wealth? How does that affect someone on the lower end of society? Is that a limiting factor in one's earning ability?

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos has been the richest person on Earth for a while, but his fortunes recently rose to new heights, at worth $200,000,000,000.

But let's stop glorifying billionaires and millionaires. Having this kind of wealth is morally wrong. Ilan ang namatay at namamatay para "makarating" sila dyan. One individual should not have this much money.

LMAO, that's capitalism. Should consider other types of government systems that spread the wealth more equally such as socialism, communism, etc.

US capitalism now: many millions unemployed; vast small, medium firms bankrupt; debt-ridden workers, students.

But Jeff Bezos grabs, keeps $200 billion for himself. An obscenely immoral system.

It’s not only morally wrong but it halts economies. Our current economic systems are based on spending money or allocation of resources. If all wealth in the world are only concentrated to a few, economies will come to a stop because people don’t have enough money to spend. It should be illegal for any one person or family accumulating and HOARDING extreme amounts of wealth.

Bezos exploits his workers and underpays them. He takes the value of their labor while leaving the workers starving.

https://www.businessinsider.com/bezos-mansion-protesters-set-up-guillotine-demand-higher-wages-2020-8

According to pretty much every publisher I know Jeff Bezos is personally responsible for the destruction of the book industry. They can no longer pay most authors anything as it all gets squeezed by Amazon.

And the amazing thing is that almost all the money that would be going to authors, who mostly could actually use it, just goes to Bezos personally, so he can say "look! I have another 10 billion! Oh! And another 10 billion!" He doesn't even use it.

It's like stealing candy from babies and not even eating it. In practice, we seem to have created a world so perverse that denying creative people any benefit from their creation is an end in itself. You do it so as to revel in your very power to do so.

Capitalism has brought art to a crisis point.  Cinema has it worse because it is so young that it was literally born into this economic system.  The dollar is choking to death true artistic expression.

My faith in the enduring tenacity of the creative spirit to push through adversity, no matter what, allows me to view so-called 'crises' as 'opportunities' (I know that sounds motivational speaker!). But cheap kit & open source etc means we can all make films in our bedrooms now.

Crowd-funding & Kickstarter etc, far more accessible & less demeaning than kissing producers' backsides & whoring for product placement just to cover 10 mins analog colour stock & processing.
Worldwide distribution on WWW is crazy easy to achieve, even if rewards for most small.

The internet overall has been more of a force for good in this area, though even there we can see the system constantly trying to turn it against us (censorship, zealous IP enforcement, etc.). The battle right now is intense.

It will get more indie & liberated as a reaction, espesh now big video projectors are getting so affordable.

While digi-cams cheapish since 1990s, & editing setups for last 20 years, projectors for room showing stayed out of reach.
A new era of film clubs & indie cinemas beckons!

This is a picture of Jeff Bezos when started Amazon.

He just became the first person with a net worth of $200 billion.

It doesn’t matter where you start.

You can accomplish anything.

Endangered Tamaraw Killed in Mindoro:, Poachers Escape

Wazzup Pilipinas?!

Three poachers who shot and butchered a critically-endangered tamaraw (Bubalus mindorensis) escaped apprehending authorities the other day. Alert rangers spotted the poachers drying meat near the base of Mt. McGowen inside the Mounts Iglit-Baco Natural Park before lunch on 28 August.

Two poachers were quickly surrounded and caught by park rangers and wardens while a third escaped. Two pugakang or homemade shotguns were confiscated, as well as a sack of tamaraw meat, to be dried and illegally sold as tapa or buffalo bush jerky. “Pang kain lang po ito, tapos yung iba pang benta (We’ll eat some of the meat and sell the rest on the market),” remarked one of the poachers.

After three hours in custody, the two apprehended poachers ran off and escaped into the jungle.

Tamaraw are the world’s most endangered buffalo species and are considered by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) as critically-endangered, the highest risk-rating for any species. Only around 600 are left worldwide, most found in four isolated areas in Mindoro. They are legally protected under the Wildlife Act or RA-9147. Killing endangered wildlife entails up to 12 years of jail time plus a fine of up to PHP1 million.

“Poachers might be using the COVID-19 lockdown as an opportunity to illegally enter our country’s protected areas and hunt animals. Rest assured that our rangers won’t stand for this. We’ll see to it that these poachers are prosecuted to the full extent of the law,” vows TCP head Neil Anthony del Mundo.

Dedicated rangers and wardens of the Mounts Iglit-Baco Natural Park (MIBNP) and Tamaraw Conservation Programme (TCP) have been conserving the tamaraw for decades. From less than 100 animals in 1969, numbers have recovered to about 600.

Despite being underequipped and underfunded, TCP’s rangers and wardens continue patrolling forestland to protect tamaraw – facing armed poachers, snakes, leeches, flash floods and hidden animal traps on a daily basis.

Just one of TCP’s 24 rangers is a regular employee with benefits. One ranger plus 32 of the 35 park wardens recently lost their jobs when the park closed due to the pandemic.

“DENR strongly condemns this act of slaughtering endangered wildlife,” says DENR Asec. Ricardo Calderon. “Nothing, not even the pandemic, is an excuse to kill legally-protected wildlife, for no one is above the law. We will work with both DENR MIMAROPA and the TCP to ensure that poachers get the punishment they deserve. Let this serve as a lesson for would-be poachers.”

The United Nations Development Program’s Biodiversity Finance Initiative (UNDP-BIOFIN) and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), plus allies like PH Parks & Biodiversity have launched #TogetherforTamaraws and the Tamaraw Society to raise cash gifts for the rangers, particularly those most affected by the pandemic.

“Our tamaraw frontliners who in spite of losing incomes due to the pandemic, continue their daily patrols without expectation of compensation just to ensure the safety of our tamaraw. It is high time and urgent that budgetary resources for environmental protection and enforcement be given utmost priority for protected areas, which are home to critically-endangered and threatened species like the tamaraw,” says BIOFIN Philippines project manager Anabelle Plantilla.

BIOFIN hopes to raise approximately PHP1.149M by October 2020 to help secure sorely-needed allowances and provisions for the tamaraw frontliners until January 2021. Plantilla enjoins everyone “to help the tamaraw frontliners by supporting #TogetherforTamaraws.”

“UNDP Philippines continues to support the rangers and wardens through the #TogetherforTamaraws campaign. Now more than ever, we need to join efforts to protect the tamaraw – a species in danger of extinction. We must protect what is left of our collective respect for life on Earth," concludes UNDP Philippines resident representative Enrico Gaveglia.

The COVID-19 pandemic has left few rangers and wardens to patrol the Mounts Iglit-Baco Natural Park, the last stronghold of the critically-endangered tamaraw. (Gregg Yan)

Tamaraw Conservation Programme (TCP) and park rangers recover fresh strips of tamaraw meat being dried as beef jerky or tapa. The meat came from a tamaraw bull which was approximately six years old. Legally-protected animals like the tamaraw are targeted for the illegal bushmeat trade in many parts of the world.  (Tamaraw Conservation Programme)

Numbering only about 600, they are considered critically-endangered by the IUCN, the highest rating for any species. Bato Dela Rosa says probe will only demoralize the PNP

Wazzup Pilipinas!

"Senator Bato dela Rosa, former national police chief and alumnus of the country’s premier military school, says it would demoralize cops if they were probed for the killing of 4 soldiers in June."

"It will rub more salt to the injury" Maybe you mean to the wound. Bakit balat-sibuyas ba ang mga pulis?

Whose injury? The PNPs? Excuse me. That quip is not a typical PMAyer's line. Papaano kaya iyang bokal na iyan nakapasok at nakagraduate sa PMA? Malakas ang backer?

It's plain and simple kashungahan. What happened to the rule of law, quo vadis, Pilipinas?! Did he just said to just sweep the garbage under the rug?

I think the Philippine Army and the Filipino people would want to find out if there are indeed links between the Jolo police and the Abu Sayyaf. After all, it's a small piece of land and yet the police could not seem to enforce peace and order in the province. I think you're reluctant to investigate those links because it will open a can of worms within the PNP ranks. It will reveal that the police hierarchy is festering with worms eating at its core.

B. S.! so what if they are demoralized?! That's they're problem which they have to deal with. That failure falls in the hands of the PNP senior officers. That doesn't mean justice will stop for these type of people. The soldiers were executed, they didn't have a chance to defend themselves and they were all shot from behind.

We believe the result of the probe will benefit the public more than the ego amongst few rogue cops whom this 'alleged demoralization' mostly would 'creep' upon. Not the good cops who are already satisfied with good salary and dedication to serve the country. Bottom line, find the truth, investigate with political will all suspects, no exception. Demoralization? This excuse is a thing of the past. It will demoralize the collaborators of true terrorists.

May ENABLER. What is this fool hiding? Sarap butasin ang ulo nitong si “sarap buhay” tapos hulugan ng piso para naman magkalaman.

Bababa ang morale nila, bibigat naman ang bulsa. May nag-utos sa mga iyan. They were mere pawns.

Kahit ibuhos pang lahat ang kaban ng bayan sa kanila sa pasuweldo, all government employees as well, hindi pa rin sila mawawalan ng reklamo. Walang pinagkaiba sa mga rallyists. Only we can enjoy lasting peace if saboteours are flushed out. Marami pa ring raket na nangyayari not only ths Abu Sayyaff thing

Demoralization happened several times before in the PNP and AFP, but never been a major issue to turn back to their  oath of alligance.

I have yet to hear something sensible coming out of this senator's mouth. No logic and obviously very defensive. There is no investigation yet, but he has taken a stand already. Clearly this guy is not worthy of even a soldier’s salute, nor of being called honorable.

This is a clear proof why we should not take Bato's recommendation of death penalty. He is just obviously showing that selective implementation of justice is ok for him. He is a one-sided senator.

Seeing Bato in the senate is demoralizing and depressing too. Kaya siya pinatakbo ay para lang sa votes at mabraso kung anuman gusto ipasa ng admin. Shut up na lang sana siya. Walang laman ang ulo kasi.

Why not call for a fair investigation, instead? That will settle the issue. Let the probe put into effect. Majority of the people heading into the mountain barangays is because of the abuses of the PNP and not the military. Majority of people joining rebel groups are also the abuses done by the PNP. Yet, the military is the one trying to clear the mess being initiated by the PNP. The Senate and Congress should clean up the PNP. According also to a politician from Davao City, the PNP is the source of corruption in the country.

Justice should prevail because injustice breeds discontentment in the ranks!

Let justice be for the 4 soldiers killed because only the guilty ones will be prosecuted and it will not demoralise the PNP as a whole.

Application of technology in treating migraine

Wazzup Pilipinas!

The use of technology has already made everything easy in performing tasks that will generally benefit humans. According to the application of technology in treating migraine, a migraine device, and other neuromodulation devices are used in the control of the different body systems by either enhancing or suppressing it.

The use of neuromodulation devices is very effective in reducing the severe pain associated with migraine attacks. In the application of neuromodulation devices for treating migraines, the device makes use of a certain voltage of electric current or magnet depending on the device model to evaluate the on-activities in the brain.

That’s not all because most of these devices have the ability to prevent or stop a severe migraine attack that’s on the way. These positive effect of technology in health produced by the neuromodulation devices aid in the stimulation and modulation of the brain nerves. These devices are very portable to carry around as the design structures are mostly made to fit around the head.

Since the introduction of the neuromodulation devices for treating migraine headaches, no side effects have been recorded. Meaning that the device is risk-free to use according to FDA who approved it. Here are ways of which the application of technology is used in treating migraines:

Pain relief without pills

Not everyone likes the use of the pill for relieving their migraine pains, especially when most of these pills have side effects. The use of a migraine device can easily terminate the vital effects of migraine headaches without even taking any drugs. The process won’t even have you worrying about any side effects because it has none. As a patient suffering from the attacks of migraine headaches, you only need to turn this device on twice or three times a day. Another amazing thing about the neuromodulation devices is that you can even use them when you are also taking medications.

Providing easy to use wearables

Just as explained above, most of the migraine treatment devices are designed as a wearable technology, which makes it accurate in reading the body system when worn. An example of these devices is Cefaly, which is professionally approved by the FDA. The Cefaly migraine device that uses its electrical capabilities in the stimulation of the body nerves and muscles that are located around the head to reduce your migraine pain.

Portable devices that can be used anytime

Apart from Cefaly, there are other portable neuromodulation devices that can be used anytime. The neuromodulation devices can be used depending on the individual condition suffering the migraine attacks. This can be determined and prescribed by the neurologist treating the patient after a thorough examination.

Devices are created based on past data or information

Technological development mostly depends on the use of past defected information to recreate something with more potential. The use of migraine devices is still going on and there’s no doubt that in next few years to come, several breakthroughs will be made. For example, the Cefaly wearable device was introduced in the United States around 2013 as the first potential device for treating migraines. However, several breakthroughs and new developments have been developed since then to now with the aid of past recorded data and information.

Providing competent and self care devices

The migraine wearable devices are now leading a role in the treatment of migraine headaches. This is possible because of the technology’s impeccable accuracy and effectiveness in preventing migraines. Several brands have emerged today in the development of migraine devices with a solid aim of eradicating the severe effects of migraine headaches from everyone.

Conclusion

The application of technology for medical treatment is a creative improvement in treating severe illnesses like migraine headaches. Each of these migraine devices performs different tasks based on their features. For people that don’t like taking medications as the treatment method of preventing the vital effects of a migraine headache, using a migraine treatment device will gradually stimulate tour nerves and body muscles back to its original state and eradicate migraines.

Chadwick "Black Panther" Boseman Dies of Cancer

Wazzup Pilipinas!

"He was a gentle soul and a brilliant artist, who will stay with us for eternity through his iconic performances over his short yet illustrious career. God bless Chadwick Boseman" -  Denzel Washington

"It was the highest honor getting to work with you and getting to know you. What a generous and sincere human being. You believed in the sacred nature of the work and gave your all. Much love to your family..." - Mark Ruffalo

Chadwick Boseman, who featured as a main actor in Black Panther, dies of cancer at 43 years of age.

I'm beginning to think Thanos was real and that he clicked his fingers at the start of 2020.

It’s like 2020 is being run by Thanos as he is acquiring all the stones and about to snap his fingers.

Chadwick Boseman was really fighting two battles. One was against thanos, and the other was his cancer.

He really battled Thanos, Killmonger, and half the Avengers, all whilst battling cancer as well. Quite literally a legend. He will not be forgotten.

Black Panther will always be one of the coolest movies I’ve ever watched all because of Boseman!

That final clip of Black Panther leading the charge against Thanos in the ‘Portals’ scene of Endgame will never be the same again. Rest easy Chadwick Boseman. Thank you for filling our hearts with so much excitement at the movies. There will never be another Black Panther!

I wish, Thanos for once, could just snap his fingers and you’d still be here, Cancer-free, with us.

You did good champ! Who's going to play your role? Gone to soon!

I’ll never forget the chills I got when Captain America looked like he was gonna get killed by Thanos then Black Panther came out.

No more Black Panther. They couldn’t have beaten Thanos without you. Love you 3000.

Rest in power, king. Wakanda Forever!

WWF-PH Welcomes Robi Domingo as the Newest Addition to the Panda Family

Wazzup Pilipinas?!

The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Philippines welcomed Robi Domingo to the Panda family as the newest addition to their roster of celebrity ambassadors, helping the organization spread awareness on the importance of planetary health to human health.

The actor, who rose to fame as a finalist in Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition, shared that his 2017 documentary series, which brought him to different parts of the country, inspired him to use his voice and platform to promote environmental conservation.

“I got to go and see the different parts of the country, from places like Mt. Apo to Malapascua, and every trip I would say, ‘Wow, ang ganda ng Pilipinas’. I want to share these amazing stories to the people, and by working with WWF-Philippines, they [people] will learn the value of environmental conservation. I firmly believe in the thinking that if we take care of the world, the world will also take care of us”, Domingo said.

Growing up in an environmentally-conscious household inspired Domingo to adapt sustainable practices in his lifestyle—from simply bringing his own tumblers and utensils, to lessen single-use plastic consumption. He also bikes as much as possible to reduce carbon emission, and even insists on going digital for project scripts to lessen paper use.

The pre-medicine graduate joins fellow Ateneo alumna Janine Gutierrez as the organization’s newest National Youth Ambassador, and will work together with the WWF-PH National Youth Council (NYC) to encourage active participation from the youth sector in environmental conservation. Despite being the newest addition to the group, Domingo showcased great chemistry with the NYC during the Conservation Conversation: Wild Youth livestream event last August 28, discussing facts about the Tamaraw, the world’s rarest and most endangered buffalo, and raised funds for Tamaraw Conservation in Mindoro.

As a self-proclaimed “kuripot”, Domingo also aims to shed light on how being environmentally pragmatic can lead not only to financial gain, but also saving lives and the planet in the process.

WWF-Philippines looks forward to working alongside Robi to urge everyone, especially the youth, to #ChangeTheEnding for the planet and make a difference for current and future generations of Filipinos.

Namjoon of BTS Compares their relationship with fans is like “Nutella and bread” and Jungkook went “What!?”

Wazzup Pilipinas!

“Describe your relationship with your fans in one word”

Jungkook: love... love
Namjoon: Nutella and bread
Jungkook: .... what?

Namjoon’s brilliant mind is always on like standardized test mode. ARMY is to BTS as NUTELLA is to BREAD. Get on this level, y’all.

Namjoon said their relationship with Army is like “Nutella and bread” and Jungkook went “What!?”

Namjoon first saying their relationship with army is like "hamburger and Coke" and now saying its like "Nutella and bread"

When someone speaks food to you, there is a deeper soul to soul connection there. As they say the way to a man's heart is through his tummy or stomach.

He is in exploration to find a word that exceed the word "love". And he nailed it everytime.

How about Soju and beer next time?

Or is that just the headspace I’m in right now??

"Joonie" has been expressing his love for Army through food pairing analogies and this is just another reason to love him more. Though that is three words...hehehe

Why is Namjoon the cutest person in this world?

And Taehyung said Army are his BFFs. He keeps saying we’re his best friends?? Im so endeared.

Though, while everyone keeps talking about JK’s little WHAT?!, have you noticed Tae’s WTF face & Hobi’s fond smile when Joon said “Nutella & Bread”?

"If you ever feel alone, just remember that Taehyung called us his best friends, Jungkook called us love, Joon called us Nutella and bread, Jimin called us his future, Hobi called us his hope, Yoongi said we’re always together and Seokjin called us his Earth."

Blackpink and Selena Ice Cream Gets Called Out for Using Moses in the Song's Lyrics

Wazzup Pilipinas!

Toxic Armys and Blonks be blaming Lisa just because she said "Moses" but didn't say anything when other songs drag religions to their songs like "Oh my God," "You're my religion," "Jesus Christ," and others.

Moses maybe literally a Biblical reference but it has been used for decades in TV shows, songs, movies, etc.

But I guess blackpink is the only artist who can't use it? Why all the bashings?

Y'all are trying to cancel Blackpink and Selena for literally a stupid reason. I’m sure that when they sing “play the part like Moses” they could be talking about Moses, a famous Nigerian football player who plays in Italy. Lol!

It was literally to praise Moses, keep your dirty mind to yourself. Also, don’t be a hypocrite. When BP do it, it’s all disrespectful and no excuses, when other people do it, it’s OK to have a double meaning behind it. Honey that ain’t right, boo!

The lyrics are so simple. It literally said "If you cant be a great man like Moses or even come close to his level then don't come into my life. Moses is the standard. It was a compliment. The writer, Bekuh Boom, explained it above. They are putting him on a pedestal. If you still can't understand it then you might as well cancel everyone.

The song is literally praising Moses, and BTW was used by countless of artists, but it's only offensive when Blackpink did it?

Like how could you come up with something that fast when an explanation was right there in front of you? Y'all never give a shit when some artists used his name in their lyrics, but suddenly you're offended because Blackpink said it.

A lot of KPop songs with the lyrics "Oh My God" to them but it's not offensive, while Moses is?

I just realized that the ice cream that Lisa was holding is a reference to moses that parted the red sea to save the people.

Is it because "God" is a label, not a name? Moses, however is a prophet throughout abrahamic religions? But God is the highest among everyone. He recieved the 10 commandments from Him. Moses worshipped  Him.

God is a label about someone who is a divine being. It's not necessarily a name like Jesus, for example. If that would be Jesus or any other gods in any religion, then that would be deemed as offensive. In Moses's case, it was his name, not his title of being a prophet.
